We have had a report of a robbery today (18.04.19) at just before 11 am at the cashpoint outside Barclays Bank Station Road Knowle. While ...An appeal from the Cinnamon Trust supporting elderly and terminally ill patients with their pets.
We have an owner who is a resident of Fen End asking for some dog walking support for their lovely dog Cassie a 4 year old Golden Retriever.
The Cinnamon Trust is the national charity for the elderly and terminally ill and their pets. We seek to keep owner and pet together for as long as possible with the help of a national network of volunteers who assist when day to day care poses a problem.
Our aim is to relieve the owners of any worry concerning the welfare of their pets both during and after their own lifetime making us unique amongst charities.
All volunteers help in the ways that are most appropriate to them. Teams take it in turn to visit housebound owners to take the dog for a walk, volunteers foster pets as one of their family when owners face a spell in hospital, they take pets to the vet, even clean out the budgie's cage or cats litter trays. THE LARGE SETTLEMENT OF BALSALL COMMON IS THE CORE OF BALSALL PARISH AND WHERE MOST OF ITS RESIDENTS LIVE.
The village is surrounded by rural land and includes the small settlements of Meer End, Fen End and the historic Temple Balsall from which the parish gets its name.
